Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about working with Launch Day.
About Launch Day
How does Launch Day make money?
The agency that wins your project pays us a placement fee. You pay nothing.
Is this really free for buyers?
Yes. Our fee comes from the vendor side, similar to how a real estate buyer's agent is paid by the seller.
Who is this for?
Organizations making technical investments of $50K or more — custom software, AI implementation, UX/product design, website builds — who want expert guidance through the selection process.
How is this different from an RFP?
RFPs test who writes the best proposal. We evaluate who actually delivers. We also do the work — you don't need to manage a 4-month procurement process.
Do you compete with agencies?
No. We don't build software or do design work. We help you find the right people who do.
How long does this take?
Most searches complete in 4–6 weeks. Complex engagements may take longer.
Working With Us
What if I already have agencies in mind?
We can evaluate partners you bring to us alongside candidates from our network. Our goal is finding the best fit, not placing our partners.
What types of projects do you cover?
Custom software development, AI/ML implementation, UX and product design, website and platform builds. Generally $50K+ engagements where partner selection matters.
Can I just get the Delivery Assurance piece?
Yes — we can provide oversight on engagements where you've already selected a partner, or where the partner came through another channel.
What happens if the engagement goes badly?
We help you navigate it. That might mean facilitating difficult conversations, supporting contract enforcement, or in worst cases, helping you transition to a new partner.
The Network
Can agencies pay for better placement?
No. Placement is based entirely on fit for the specific engagement.
How do you handle conflicts of interest?
We're transparent about our relationships. If we've placed a partner with multiple clients, you'll know. Our incentive is getting the match right, not placing volume.
Still have questions?
15 minutes with an advisor. No pitch, no pressure.
We'll help you figure out what you actually need.
